FAQs
How Much Does A Stiltz Home Lift Cost?
The overall cost of your Stiltz Home Lift will differ from case to case. While prices do start from £12,000, the cost of required building work, lift size and additional accessories could affect the overall price of the lift. We will provide you with a bespoke quote from the offset, taking into account all requirements and desires you may have for the lift.
What Happens If the Power Fails and I Am in My Stiltz HomeLift?
In the event of a power cut to the home, all Stiltz HomeLifts are equipped with a battery back up facility. This is included as standard and will allow anyone in the lift at the time of power failure to gently descend to the lower level of the home, exit the lift, and wait until the power comes back on.
Can I Stay in My Home Longer With a Stiltz HomeLift?
Yes, both the Stiltz Duo+ and Stiltz Trio+ are a great help to those with mobility problems, but they are also purchased by those who are able-bodied and looking to future proof their homes. This ensures you can have the peace of mind to continue to live a full life in the family home you love for many years to come.
Is a Stiltz HomeLift Suitable for Wheelchair Users?
Yes, the Stiltz Duo+ and Trio+ home lifts are ideal for homeowners with mobility issues as it allows them the freedom and independence to move between floors of the home with ease. Please note, however, that these through-floor lifts can only travel one floor, and that wheelchair users needing to access more than two storeys may benefit from a lift in our Aritco, Altura or PVE Vacuum range.
Am I Able to Receive a Disabled Facilities Grant for a Stiltz HomeLift?
You may be eligible for a Disabled Facilities Grant if you are disabled and need to make changes (including the installation of a domestic lift) to your home which would improve access to rooms and facilities. A Disabled Facilities Grant will not affect any benefit payments you receive.
How Safe Is the Stiltz HomeLift?
The Stiltz HomeLift has a safety sensor fitted above and below the lift car which detects obstructions and smoothly stop the car. The lift is also fitted with a full-height light curtain which acts as a sensor and ensures nothing crosses into or out of the lift as it travels. Stiltz home lift engineers are on call 24/7 in the event of a lift emergency.
Can I Change The Look Of My Stiltz Home Lift?
We offer a number of customisation options for your Stiltz lift to ensure you get the lift you need for your home. You can customise the carpet, rails and lift car colours, as well as add seats and additional hand rails as needed and desired for your personal home lift.
Will My Stiltz Home Lift Need Servicing?
It is recommended that you have your Stiltz Home Lift serviced once a year to ensure that everything remains in working order. A service will ensure that the lift keeps working and functioning properly and that all of the safety features and tech remain operational to the highest degree.
If I Move House, What Will Happen With My Stiltz Lift?
If you choose to move home after the installation of your Stiltz Home Lift, you can take the home lift with you! We can come and uninstall the lift and safely move it to the new property. It's straightforward to reverse the installation and leave your previous property in a good state, with the final finish appearing as though the lift was never there. You can also opt to leave the lift in the property as this can add value to the home, and then opt for a new installation at your new property.
